Meet our Veterinarian, Dr. Adriana López Quintana DVMT
In a country where no vet we spoke to would consider performing the pediatric, pre-adoption sterilization (the most effective practice for reducing the number of homeless animals in the U.S.) we had to find a doctor who could think outside the box.
In my research, I came across the many credentials of
Dr. Adriana López Quintana DVMT and hoped that with her worldwide veterinary experiences, she would be privy to the rescue practices of first world countries.
She is in complete agreement that the pre-adoption sterilization is the best way to spare suffering and does excellent, minimally invasive surgery. Our puppies are
up and running around the next day.
In addition to providing the finest medical care to our babies, Dr. López has donated her time to teach us how to perform simple medical procedures ourselves so that we can save on vet costs and our donations can go even further.

*Pediatric Sterilization should only be performed on healthy, vaccinated puppies who have not be in contact with sick animals for several weeks. In healthy pups, the pediatric spay/neuter has a shorter recovery time, is as safe as adult spay/neuter, and is the best way to guarantee that the rescued puppy won't continue breeding.
